- A Division of BioSculptor Corporation. Maramed Orthopedic Systems was established in 1972 by a world renowned orthotist and orthopedic surgeon. Their goal was to market custom fit prefabricated orthoses and fracture braces, a new modality of treatment they helped develop with the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Miami. They strongly believed that the anatomically correct fully functional orthopedic devices, resulting from their R&D, would accommodate the vital needs of the patient and the practitioner.
